For two people, budget around $1,900 for a week's diving excluding airfare: $80 Nature Tag, $620 unlimited tanks, $380 car, $500 accommodation, $170 groceries and food, and $150 tourist tax. The fixed items are listed below with their source; accommodation and food are a range.
Prices on Bonaire are quoted in dollars and shift with the season. What follows is split into items that are fixed and items you choose yourself. We sell nothing and carry no booking links, so the ranges are what they are: observations, not offers.

The Nature Tag is the one item you cannot postpone or avoid: since 2023 everyone pays the same rate, $40 per person per calendar year, whether you dive, snorkel or swim. It is valid through 31 December of the year you buy it, even if you arrive in November. Children under twelve are exempt, as are residents of the six islands.
WHAT PEOPLE FORGET. The tourist tax on arrival is a separate payment from the Nature Tag, to a different party. You need both, and you pay the first before you set foot on the island.
Diving here isn't expensive because the sea is expensive, but because you need a car to reach it.
